Really enjoyed this book

Really enjoyed this book. There were some great pearls of wisdom here. I highly recommend this book. One of my favorites, "Comparison is the thief of all joy." This was very relevant for me in my situation.

Joshua Medcalf has been a mentor of mine over the past 4 1/2 years. This book allows others insight into the journey I have been on with him. I would recommend "Chop Wood, Carry Water" to anyone looking to measure their life based on significance over success. We live in a very precarious time and influencing others in a way that makes them realize their principles will long outlive their feelings is far more important than dusting off trophies. Love the Journey

Having previously read "Burn Your Goals," I was excited to finally read this book. While the concepts and lessons are similar to "Goals," the fictional story told in "Chop" personifies a young man's transformation without cumbersome story development. This made for a pretty quick and engaging read, with the lessons obviously stated, so the reader can quickly apply them without having to sift it from a hefty novella. I appreciated this direct, yet elegant and effective delivery. As for the content itself, it's priceless. Both books have me not only re-evaluating how I act and think, but making worthwhile changes and enjoying the positive results. The message is fairly simple, but because behaviors need modified it takes more than a quick meme to facilitate real change. I intend to re-read some chapters as needed to reinforce my transformation (stubborn, hard-wired mind!), and I look forward to other works by both Medcalf and Jamie Gilbert to continue this enlightening journey. Bravo!
