good book

I was happy to find this book in amazon.com as I used this for my practical chemistry course in India. Majority of the experiments are quite interesting if you have some liking for chemistry practicals. Some take about 3 hours or more. The best experiments are on the extraction of DNA from peas and onions and the one on chemiluminiscence and there is one even on kidney stones and estimation of phosphoric acid from Coke and Pepsi. One requires a little chemistry background to understand the theory provided along with the experiments. Overall a good book.

novel book on chemistry experiments

This book from IIT Kanpur, India is quite interesting and has 20 experiments which are new and easy to do in a chemistry undergraduate laboratory. What I liked most is the informative introduction to each experiment.Cost of running the experiments also is very low. I must say that there are many experiments in inorganic and organic chemsitry and few in physical. But overall a real change from the conventional practical chemistry text books.
