Spencer and Noelle...A Perfect Combination

Nicole Edwards never disappoints me with her books!! I always know that whenever I open a Nicole Edwards' book I am going to get a well written story with complex and well developed characters who are surrounded by a loving and strong family, and that will grab me from page go...and Kaufman met the mark. I absolutely loved Kaufman!! Wow!! I did not think that I would love Kaufman more than I loved Rush, and I loved Rush, the first book in The Season series, but Kaufman completely and totally stole my heart!! I highly suggest reading Rush before reading Kaufman, even though it is a stand alone, but to really enjoy it you should read Rush first, plus, Rush is an excellent read!!
Kaufman, the second book in The Season series about hot, sexy, pure alpha male hockey players finding their happily ever afters, focuses on Spencer Kaufman, the Captain of the Austin Arrows, older brother of Ellie, and best friend to Heath Rush, and Noelle Dexter, Ellie Kaufman's best friend and co-owner of the Penalty Box, both of whom we met in Rush. We had hints of something going on between the Spencer and Noelle in Rush, but we were not really sure. Well, well, well...there was DEFINITELY something going on between these two...something incredibly funny and beautiful and completely unexpected, and I enjoyed every minute of their journey to their HEA. Spencer and Noelle have known each other forever, but have never thought of each other as more than brother and sister until the "Universe" gets involved [yeah, you will have to read Kaufman to understand that reference ;)].
Kaufman will not only have you rooting for Spencer and Noelle's HEA, but it will also tug on your heart strings. Kaufman is not only a love story, but it also deals with some very serious topics, and makes you think about the fact that what a person portrays to the outside world is not always what that person is dealing with on the inside, and that the internal feelings of a person have a much more profound impact on a person and his or her actions. I was deeply moved by the topics that were dealt with in Kaufman. Kaufman also will have you laughing so hard you mightn't be able to catch your breath, and yeah, that laughter is totally courtesy of Noelle. Noelle has to be one of my absolute all time favorite heroines. She is strong, funny, super cute, daring, quirky, and she does not take nonsense from anyone, not even Spencer. She is definitely the type of girl you want in your corner, because you know she will always be there to support you, no matter what, and she will put you in your place when you need that too. Noelle is the perfect match for Spencer. Spencer is used to women falling at feet just because he is Spencer, Captain of the Austin Arrows, and he is the sexy pretty boy of the team, and supremely alpha male!! Now it is time for him to put in some work if he wants to win Noelle's heart, and work he does. I absolutely love Spencer!! Wow!! He is an absolutely terrific hero. He maybe hockey royalty, but he constantly puts others before himself and he gives and loves with all that he is.
Bravo Nicole Edwards on this wonderfully crafted story that completely touched my heart and funny bone, and has now become one of my all time favorite stories of yours. I cannot wait for the next book in this series and whatever else you have planned for us readers.

The universe knows best!

This is a fantastic second book in this new series by Nicole Edwards! I just have to say that I adore Noelle! I actually think I have a girl crush on her!
It is very rare for me to absolutely love everything about the heroine in a romance book. Who knows, maybe it is actually because I am just jealous that she will get the HEA with our hero. Haha! Noelle is probably the quirkiest character I have encountered in a romance book before and THAT is exactly why I love her so much! Because let’s face it, we all have our quirks. She is a believer in the universe having a hand in her life and her relationships and is just a bundle of positive energy and you can't help but love her.
Enter Spencer Kaufman, captain of the Austin Arrows, super-hot, sexy hockey player. Except he is not new to Noelle, he is her best friend's brother and she has known him for 25 years. Something seems to have shifted though and now there is an intense attraction that cannot be ignored. It won’t be ignored!
Spencer has his eyes, heart and some other body parts 100% set on Noelle. I love, love, love this couple. They are sexy, flirty, funny and hot! They complete each other! So many feelings and emotions found a way through my system while reading this. I swooned (often) cried, laughed, winced, cheered and fanned myself quite a bit.
I positively LOVE this series. I really like how this story line runs parallel to Rush, Kingston & Ellie's story, so you gain a little more perspective into what was going on there.
I did not think I could get over Kingston Rush but then SPENCER.
Bring on Heath Rush!!!

Kaufman: The Season (Austin Arrows Book 2)

Well as per usual I LOVED Nicole Edwards books. I don’t think there is a book that she has written that I have been disappointed with.
Kaufman: The Season (Austin Arrows Book 2) is a sports romance. At first I was a little worried that it was a sports romance. Because if you know me you know that I don’t do sports anything. (although maybe I should) I am generally bored with watching sports. Well Kaufman may play sports and there is a little of him playing Hockey going up against another team. But, this book isn’t all about sports there is a story here.
This is Spencer Kaufman's and Noelle Dexter's story. I love that Kaufman is so human and gets super nervous when he has to deliver a speech. Whether for his team (he is the captain) or for charity he is a basket case. Now don’t get me wrong. Kaufman is an Alpha all the way where it counts. And, Noelle is aware and tries to help with his nervousness. She is very intuitive.
What I love about this series is that each of the books and this is only book two (I sure hope there is more) they are written to be standalones. But, if you love Nicole Edwards books you can’t read just one. So go back and read Rush: The Season (Austin Arrows #1) If you haven’t already read it!
I am loving this sports romance series. I know I just said I wasn’t sure but, this is a must read! "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book." 5 STARS for Kaufman and I will also be purchasing this book. I believe in supporting our authors with verified reviews.
